National Volunteer Week is here, and we’re excited to join the celebration! From April 16th-22nd, people around the world will recognize the essential role volunteers play in building stronger, more connected communities. This week is part of Global Volunteer Month, which promotes volunteerism and encourages people to make a difference in their communities.

We believe that giving back is an essential part of our mission. As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of our favorite moments when we were able to give back. Whether it’s supporting a local food bank, mentoring youth, or helping local charities, we’ve seen firsthand how volunteering can make a real difference in people’s lives. By sharing these stories, we hope to inspire others to get involved and give back to their communities.

Volunteering is a powerful way to make a positive impact in the world. During National Volunteer Week, let’s take the time to recognize and appreciate the amazing volunteers who give their time, energy, and expertise to help others. Whether you’re an individual, a company, or a community organization, let’s work together to build a brighter future for everyone.

  • Teach them to Fish – This is an exciting tradition where we get to host 80+ kids from Hamilton Southeastern High School who are currently enrolled in the AP Computer Science Principles class. Many of these students are interested in a career in computer science or a related field. We spend a full day with them organizing breakout sessions, insightful speakers, and close out the day by enjoying pizza and donuts.
  • What Giving Back Means to Us – Check out this post to feature what our team members do in their free time when volunteering. Whether it’s playing with dogs in local shelters, to dressing up as Star Wars characters for charities and fundraisers, we find fun ways to spread cheer.
  • Why Being Involved in our Community Matters – We had the honor of hosting our friends from the Indy Chamber Ambassador program and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBBSCI) to have lunch and connect. While we enjoy sharing the exciting things happening at Counterpart, it always makes it special to us when we are able to share the impact our partners at BBBSCI and the Indy Chamber are having in the community.
