With the holiday season quickly approaching, many of us will take this time to think about community service and how we can reach out to support others. At WDD Software, community involvement has become key to our culture, so partnering with Youth Mentoring Initiative (YMI) is both exciting and rewarding. We recognize the dire need for strong role models in our community and have seen the tremendous impact a single mentor from YMI can have on a student’s life.
YMI’s vision is to provide mentoring for students by building and sustaining a mentoring community with the highest level of service, integrity, encouragement and empathy. YMI partners with the Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation and provides specialized mentor programs that encourage the development of personal values.
For two year’s running, WDD Software has proudly sponsored YMI’s Fall Breakfast Fundraiser. This year, YMI will be joining the #GivingTuesday global fundraising effort and working even harder to line up mentoring opportunities for local youth.
To show our support, we will be donating our mobile fundraising platform, AppToGive, to be used as the central hub for YMI’s fundraising efforts. Leveraging social media and a live giving experience, AppToGive has already delivered incredible results. We are looking forward to seeing what AppToGive can do for YMI and thrilled to see the advancements we can make in our community!
