We are excited to showcase an employee each month! We have some pretty great people here at Counterpart, why not share the wealth? This month, we are welcoming a new employee, Joshua Palamuttam. Fun fact, he was actually an intern with us in 2018 and we are thrilled to have him back on the team.

What do you do at Counterpart?

I am a software developer here at Counterpart, working on various projects.

What inspires you?

My dad. He is my role model since he is an immigrant from India. He came from nothing but picked himself up from his bootstraps, worked hard, and is now living the American dream.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The culture here. When I was an intern, it was so fun to work with a bunch of goofy but smart people. I enjoyed working together and getting things done quicker than you thought while still having fun at the same time.

What has been your favorite project so far?

App To Give! It was really fun working with Riley Children’s Hospital. Jason took the team that was working on this project to a meeting with the users and it was amazing to hear about how much the app has helped. It was really nice to see validation from what was put into the work. Hearing the compliments made all of the hard work worth it.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I don’t think there is anything. I am pretty much an open book.

What are 3 words that describe Counterpart?
Goofy, Intelligent, and Generous.

What is your proudest moment at Counterpart?

Going to the Riley Children’s Hospital Headquarters. Like I mentioned in what my favorite project was, getting positive feedback on a project I worked hard on made me really proud.

What are you passionate about?

Constantly learning. If there is something I don’t know or something interesting to learn about, I will go out of my way to learn about it. It often leads to a spiraling Wikipedia and Youtube rabbit hole.

If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go?

Reykjavik, Iceland

If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?

Superspeed just like The Flash.

What are three material things you couldn’t live without?

My phone, laptop (since it is my job), and my glasses.

What is your favorite tv show/movie and/or book?

Tv Show – The Office

Movie – Three Idiots

Books – There are too many to choose from!
