For the second year in a row, our own Chief Strategy Officer, Drew Linn, flexed his culinary muscle by joining Old National Bank as they hosted the 100 Men Who Cook event on March 2, 2019. Having raised more than $6.5 million to benefit local organizations over the years, this year’s event benefited Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana.
This event is definitely a special one, not only for the impact it has on so many deserving charities, but also because of the fun and relaxed environment where attendees can drink and sample cuisine from any of the 100 chefs who prepare their favorite dishes. It’s more like a tailgating event than a fundraiser.
As everyone is sampling these tasty treats, the 100 chefs are competing against each other for the largest amount of tips (donations) to claim “The Top Chef Trophy.” Drew ended up claiming 7th place overall, receiving more than 66 donations totaling more than $3,875.00. The event was a huge success and ended up raising more than $193,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBBSCI).
“We are so grateful for the effort and impact Old National Bank’s leadership provides with this event every year!” said Linn. “It is incredibly fulfilling to know that our sponsorship and participation in this event will enable Big Brothers Big Sisters to serve nearly 100 more kids than ever before.”
