WDD Software Solutions (WDD) will again be sponsoring Youth Mentoring Initiative’s Fall Breakfast to be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016. This event will kick off YMI’s annual fundraising campaign to raise $200,000 to support its mission of providing one on one mentoring for students in need within the Fishers school systems. This is YMI’s 8th year of growing a mentoring community in Fishers, Indiana.

This breakfast is an opportunity for business, education, civic and community leaders to celebrate YMI’s impact on the community’s youth and learn more about how they can help. Last year’s event raised over $36,000 and lead them to support over 175 active matches in 6 Fishers schools.

Darren Heil, Founder and Director of Community Engagement said, “We have a vision of growing a mentoring community in Fishers and a goal to mentor 600 students each year by 2020. WDD Software helps make this possible! Their continued support enables YMI to positively impact the Fishers community.”

ymi-logoYMI provides mentoring for students by building and sustaining a mentoring community with the highest level of service, integrity, encouragement and empathy. YMI is a non‐profit organization that has vetted, equipped and matched adult mentors to students in local schools since 2008. Through one‐on‐one, weekly, school‐based sessions, these YMI mentors encourage students to reach their fullest potential.

“WDD is excited to stay true to our commitment on supporting organizations like YMI that continually invest in our youth and help build a stronger community,” said Drew Linn, Chief Strategy Officer for WDD. “YMI is a fantastic example of how a great idea can grow into a lasting and impactful movement. We are proud to call YMI our partners and will continue to support their meaningful work.”

The annual event will be held at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 10500 E 126th St, Fishers IN, 46038. This is a free event. All are welcome. For more information on YMI and this event, as well as supporting YMI’s mission through donations, visit http://www.ymionline.org.
