For 23 years we have built lasting relationships with clients all over the nation, yet we have continued to call central Indiana our home. We have always been committed to identifying and promptly serving our client’s needs. Because of our relationships with our clients, we have been able to identify and address large scale needs by launching two new products, NERV and AppToGive. With the addition of these products, we will be adding a new “product wing” to WDD Software with plans of growing and building the resources necessary to support these incredible opportunities. This includes adding multiple development, quality assurance, help desk and sales positions to our Indiana operations.
We know the importance of the intimate company culture we have created at WDD – it is critical to our team that it be preserved. That is why our consulting division – the team you’ve known and worked with – will continue to see limited and controlled growth. Our SaaS products will require the majority of the resources to serve what we believe to be a large national market. Like every other industry, custom software development is constantly evolving. Adding our own products was a natural evolution to our consulting business.
As we’ve probably mentioned to you before, the two products we are launching are NERV and AppToGive. NERV is a health and data management platform developed to meet the unique needs of local public health departments. While we have been onboarding our first group of Indiana departments over the past few weeks, we have had several discussions with health officials in other states. Our other product, AppToGive, was developed trying to find a solution to some issues Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana were facing. This platform creates a real-time entertainment and giving experience for non-profit organizations which raised nearly $150,000 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Riley Children’s Foundation and Youth Mentoring Initiative since 2014.
As we have formalized our plans for both of these products, officials from IEDC offered their support and resources to our efforts. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) has committed up to $750,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants based on our job creation and growth plans.
We are very excited that our plans allow us to preserve the culture and intimacy of our consulting team, while leveraging our 23 years of success and experience in custom software development to pursue these new, exciting opportunities.
