Each week leading up to #GivingTuesday, we will be highlighting one of our local community partners and their campaign efforts this holiday season. This week we are excited to focus on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBBSCI).
BBBSCI provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one youth mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. BBBSCI partners with parents/guardians, volunteers, schools, donors, and others in the community to help youth avoid risky behaviors, improve socio-emotional competency, and achieve educational success.
WDD first connected with BBBSCI during last year’s #GivingTuesday campaign. Realizing a need to reach new donors and improve their fundraising website, BBBSCI reached out to WDD for a solution: thus, AppToGive was born. In just one day, AppToGive helped raise nearly $60,000 from over 600 donors, tripling BBBSCI’s original goal. We are proud that we were able to create this software and platform to help our local community!
Bryan Roesler, Director of Development for BBBSCI said it best: “We cannot even begin to express our gratitude for everything that you have done for us to make this day a success. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It cannot be said enough. Without the website and fundraising platform… it surely would not have been as successful.”
After such remarkable results at last year’s campaign, BBBSCI and WDD are excited to team up once again for this year’s #GivingTuesday. Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook as we continue to support BBBSCI in the days leading up to #GivingTuesday!
